The physical facility
We have a well-equipped shop in Meridian, Idaho. We aren’t ready for the public to visit us at this time, but we can show you around with a few pictures below. We have about 1000 sq. ft. divided into two spaces, a clean shop and a dirty shop. The clean shop is where we do clean activities, such as electronics, programming, laser cutting, teaching courses and such. The dirty shop is for making messes and dust. This room has machinery, such as woodworking and metal machining tools. You can take a tour of each room in the photos that follow….
The clean shop

This is where you may find your “nerdship”.

We have some personal computer stations for programming or individual course taking.

We have a flat screen TV and a whiteboard for conducting group courses.

The west wall has storage cabinets for project boxes and an electronics workbench.

We have the usual scopes, meters, power supplies and a soldering station.
The 3d printing station

This printer is a Prusa. It’s one of the most popular in the shop.
The snapmaker a350t

This is a three-in-one machine capable of doing 3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC carving. It is enclosed in a safety cabinet to protect the eyes from the laser beam.

The cabinet opens with two sets of doors.

The head is interchangeable for each function. This photo shows the 10-watt laser cutter head and the laser cutting bed.
The gamer workstation

This computer workstation has a high-power video card for gaming and course demonstrating.

The dirty shop is accessible from the west wall of the clean shop. It also has a restroom in the back.

These are the woodworking tools. We have a radial arm saw, a Hercules chop saw, a drill press, a grinder and a sander.

The room has a center workbench and storage shelves behind it.

This is a manual metal lathe. It’s handy for making rocketry parts.

On the right of the metal lathe there is a pneumatically driven hydraulic press. This is primarily used to make large scale black powder rocket motors.

Udemy courses
We own the rights to present over 72 Udemy courses. Most are STEM courses, but some are for learning languages and various random subjects. If we don’t offer a specific course for which there is interest from several individuals, we will purchase it so we can offer it to the interested group. It is usually more fun to take a course together with others who share your passion.

The courses from Crafting Table are free. We have most of the parts kits needed to take these courses online.
