About Meridian Maker Mentors
Discovering the Joy of STEM Exploration
This platform is a celebration of STEM curiosity, showcasing personal projects and stories designed to inspire, connect, and spark a love for innovation in every visitor. Currently, the organization is composed of only me, the founder. Thus, this site represents my dream of what I hope to create. It may be a long time in the making. Have patience and check back often. If you want to somehow be involved, give me a shout.

details of our vision
Here we will try to explain the particulars of our vision. In other words, we want you to understand what we are trying to accomplish as an organization. The main points are summarized on the right.
What is our business case?
We are strictly a non-profit organization. Our only real passion is to mentor anyone who wants to expand their horizons. Our mentors are all volunteers who like to share their knowledge and see the light come on in the minds of others.
what is our target audience?
We put some emphasis on inspiring young folks who don’t yet know what passion to pursue. We hope to expose them to successes in tech subjects that might inspire them to go into those fields. However, all ages are welcome. Anyone who is curious about some of the things we do here is encouraged to become involved. We also hope to attract the attention of likeminded people who enjoy the role of mentoring.
What will it cost you to become a “maker”?
We don’t charge for any of our services or time. If your involvement here requires some materials or supplies, we will help you obtain them yourself. You are in complete control of your expenses for your own projects. Some common supplies, like 3D printing filament or plywood for laser cutting may be furnished by the organization, depending on the generosity of our donors.
What is our approach to safety?
It is of highest priority. Our mentors will be thoroughly trained to be aware of safety issues. All newbies must be accompanied by a mentor until they are certified to use any resources alone.
what is our policy concerning minors?
For the safety of both youth and mentors, any time a minor is present in our facility, two adults must be present also for them to remain. At least one of the two adults must be a recognized mentor of the organization. Parents are encouraged to help fulfil this requirement if needed. If two or more mentors are present, the requirement is fulfilled without parents, but a parental contact must be given to a mentor for each minor present.
how is the facility scheduled?
This is a vital question which remains to be answered. We first need to recruit a stable set of mentors with whom we can work this out. If you are interested in filling this role, please contact the organization. The requirements are not stringent.
